Welcome to L2LW!

Professional Wrestling may just be the greatest love of my life. Now, yes, of course I am putting aside my family, my wonderful partner, and just about every daily necessity one needs to survive; but I am not exaggerating when I say that there is nothing on this planet that makes me feel the way wrestling does.
For most people, wrestling is this weird sideshow attraction for kids. I mean, why else would it be “fake”? Mature grown-ups prefer real, authentic programing. Things that are about REAL people experiencing REAL events in REALITY . You know, things like The Office, Love Island, and CNN. But despite all these forms of entertainment being staged and scripted, just like professional wrestling, it is only wrestling that carries the Scarlett Letter of “fake” that resigns it to the cultural wayside.

This mistake is one that I hope to help correct, as professional wrestling is so much more than fake fighting. Pro Wrestling is live storytelling, being told by some of the most charismatic and athletic performers in the world. It’s a display of gravity defying stunts, Herculean feats of strength, and acts of bravery taken right out of Braveheart.
You get to watch wrestlers and performers grow right before your eyes. You get to live with them through every triumph, every defeat, every heartbreaking act of betrayal, every injury that forces them to step away from their one true love as they rehab and hope they have that same spark, to returning from that injury and proving EVERYONE who counted them out wrong. You find wrestlers who resonate with you, and you pull for them, wanting to see them succeed and climb the ranks. Their wins and loses become personal to you, and when they finally reach the mountain top you feel as if you are standing with them, just as you have been, through every step it has taken them to go from undesirable to un-goddamn-deniable.

Maybe I’ve piqued an interest in you, and you want to see what this wrestling thing is all about now. Or, maybe you’re still sceptical, still feeling as though wrestling surely can’t be all that. Whatever the case, I implore you to stay here. This blog will become a place where I share my opinions, my experiences, and (most importantly) my love for pro wrestling. I’ll recap major storylines and shows, look back at important moments in wrestling history, and my favorite matches, wrestlers, and anything that I find fun about professional wrestling.
I hope you join me on this journey as I figure out what this blog looks like, but no matter what, I know you are going to have a great time Learning to Love Wrestling.
Have a nice day
Tim
